I’ve (26F) only been seeing this guy (30M) a couple weeks. I think he has previous DV convictions. He said his ex made false claims, which I didn’t comment on when he said it but have requested a Clare’s law.
My friends said to wait until I hear back further (the police said upto 28 days when they rang me on Monday to say they had a disclosure to make).
However last night he got really drunk and said he believes it should be legal for husbands to beat their wife and children? Among other things. I didn’t just sit back and say nothing I’m strong on my opinions and called him out for it, but realised quickly to just let him have his rant because it wasn’t worth the agro.
I know I should end it like I’m not completely stupid, I just don’t know how I think I’m not sure. I’m meant be staying at his Sunday night.
